Pilates

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a total mind-body conditioning exercise program that works to improve a patient’s core strength, posture and flexibility. Offering both classical and clinical Pilates, we help individuals activate their deep abdominal and spinal muscles to improve their physical shape, re-build strength and improve postural alignment from an injury or disability.

Created by Joseph H. Pilates and his wife Clara in the 1920’s, Pilates is now offered in hospitals, universities and private studios all around the world to improve a client’s physical fitness or a patient’s post-rehabilitation injury.

Classical Pilates

Classical Pilates combines deep core strengthening with stretching, coordination, control and breathing.

Clinical Pilates

Clinical Pilates works to maintain proper skeletal alignment and muscular balance, while increasing joint mobility, blood flow, body awareness and injury prevention.
