As the founder of NorAlign, and an accomplished clinician, Nora never deviated from first principles.

Nora was focused first and foremost on the patient. Understand the root cause of a patient’s pain and educate the patient about the best treatment and treatment regime for relief from pain and injury prevention. Nora would often say that the patients with the best results were those that genuinely owned and understood their unique circumstances.

As many will know, the journey to acquire the knowledge and experience that Nora was able to bring to bear was not a straightforward one. In many respects, one might say that it followed the treatment path of the patients NorAlign treated, ups and downs, setbacks and disappointments.

However, persistence and dedication to those core principles paid off both for Nora, NorAlign and the patients.

Patients who have worked so hard together with Nora and NorAlign have shared their individual journeys with us and this feedback has been truly humbling and inspirational in equal measure.

NorAlign will continue to uphold the best of those values that inspired its founder. We will continue to dedicate ourselves to the memory and accomplishments of Nora. To continue to deliver a better, healthier future for patients, where the most excellent medicine of all is teaching people how not to need it!

"I met Nora at one of my lowest time in my life. Just graduated highschool. And had so much pain ranging from my neck to my back. Had no social life couldn’t move or workout couldn’t do much really. Went to many Doctors, Physio, chiros. Everyone told me I had to learn to live with it. Then I went to Nora through many recommendations. She was the only one who told me in my very first consultation with her. That I won’t and shouldn’t live with it and pain is not normal. I felt she made it her mission to make me feel better and get my life back. When I started out with Nora about 6 years ago I hardly was able to move as my body was so stiff and in pain. But she was very very patient with me. We took it so slow. I was with her for 4 years consistently seeing her twice a week. She did not lose hope in helping even if I did she wouldn’t let me. She always motivated me to not give up. Nora helped me go from not being able to move to doing advance level Pilates and schroth exercises. My scoliosis Cobb angle reduced and my spinal rotation went from 5 degrees to 0. I never knew how flexible my body was until I had met her. Now I have No pain and my quality of life is back. I’m able to join fitness classes with my friends and do any physical activity (which I used to avoid) my social life is back and I don’t shy away from making plans. She didn’t just help with my pain but she healed me inside and out. Every single session whether private or group she gave it her 100% best. She was a true god sent. Even when I got better I still chose to continue my sessions with Nora. I would look forward to very session with her. Honestly, she was one of a kind. It’s hard to find someone like her. God Bless you Nora. We miss you dearly. I miss our sessions together. No one can teach Pilates like the way you did. No one can have the same level of passion you had for Pilates, Schroth and especially towards your patients! "

"My oldest daughter started seeing Nora at age 11 when she still worked at another clinic. Then my youngest also needed therapy for scoliosis, but by this time Nora had opened Noralign! She treated them (and eventually myself as well) until we left the UAE when my girls were 13 and 15. Nora was friendly as well as professional, and worked well kids. Nora had a balance of strength and gentleness, which challenged and encouraged at the same time. She demonstrated not only the “how”, but also explained the “why” of the exercises and corrections. "When I first got diagnosed with scoliosis at the age of 9, my family felt lost and grim. Our doctor instructed us to start physiotherapy immediately, and passed to us Nora’s name; thats how we started working together. Nora was great at working with person’s of any age. I remember people of all ages - elders, young adults, and other kids like myself - visiting her. I trained with Nora until I was 14, and through that time I can confess that she truly transformed my life. Before her, I wasn’t at all athletic, but even after physiotherapy and pilates with her helped me become more active, she encouraged me to go beyond that. I also picked up swimming with her encouragement, which is a sport that now I do professionally on my school team. Even outside of the sphere of health and sports however, she was pleasant to be around. Especially as I grew older and became more mature, it was like we became friends in a way. She was a charming and gentle person which made her quite sociable. Overall, Nora was a very well-rounded woman, dedicated to her career of rehabilitation, while also caring in a deeper level for all her patients. I will always treasure her for the positive impact she has had on my life."
